Jason Vs. Freddy Vs. Ash is the six-issue comic book “sequel” to the movie Freddy vs. Jason, where the dynamic duo of undead serial killers battles the wisecracking, chainsaw-wielding Ash Wiliams of The Evil Dead movies.
While it’s fine to gather input, we need to make sure we’re addressing worthwhile market problems.
Focus is not saying “yes” to a single great idea. Focus is saying “no” to a ton of great-sounding ideas because they aren’t really a fit for your customers.
And it means saying “no” even if one of those deceptively great-sounding ideas comes from the Man of Steel himself.
Saying “no” is a popular topic among Product Managers. Unfortunately the “Just Say No” approach often isn’t enough because it ignores the aftershocks and the complexity of tangled emotions and legitimate business needs underscoring the initial request.
